Good car competitively priced.
Optional insurance very expensive, used separate independent insurance which lasts for a year and cheaper then Toprentacar for 2 weeks.

Car ready on time.
Had to wait 25 minutes for Toprentacar courtesy bus.
Took less than 10 minutes and no delays for transport to the airport. Staff polite

We were given a high mileage car that had a few quirks, but we were only going to a hotel 80km away so it didn't matter. I wouldn't have liked to tour the country in this car.

EVerything seemed very formal and rushed. The amount of information we were being given was overwhelming and we wished it had been delivered more slowly. As soon as the keys were handed over, Zdravko was gone - drove away.
Really helpful and sociable young man with a sense of humour. We learnt a lot about Bulgaria from him. He drove the car himself when we got back and said it shouldn't be lacking in power like it was. We thought the car was just under-powered because it was a low end model.

The C3 might be a good car normally, but this one struggled on hills. Possibly just a bad example of a good car. Not sure if the reversing alarm was broken or never been fitted. My 16 year old car at home has a reversing alarm and I missed this feature.

The only complaint would be the amount of time it took for the shuttle from the airport to the head office and the time it took to get the car due to the queue of people. Total time was over 1hr 40 mins. It has been getting longer over our last 4 bookings.

Great service on arrival. Drop off there was only one member of staff there so it took some time to finalise everything as there were two drop offs at the same time for the BA flight

Insurance is an issue. My booking was done via Car Jet and I paid for full cover. Top Rent do nor recogniser the Car Jet insurance and the deposit required was EU 1250 . The only was to reduce this was to pay for Top Car insurance (EU 195) and then depsit was only Euro 250. This left me with no option but to pay the additional EU 195 .

Really nice car this time, only disappointment is the charge to drop off at Plovdiv instead of Sofia.

Very helpful and efficient.
Didn't speak to us, just did his job. Quick and efficient but lacked communication.

I would have said excellent except that at both pick up and drop off I had to wait a considerable time before being dealt with. When I was seen at pick up things went smoothly and quickly because I had sent through all neccessary details beforehand and it was just a matter of checking that all was in order. At drop off it took a while for an agent to get to me and he seemed to take his time inspecting the car. Thankfully when the drop off was complete we were immediatley taken to the airport, so no problem with that aspect of things. I think perhaps the company is becoming a victim of its own success - its hard to have enough agents to hand if you have a lot of customers arrive to pick up a cat at more or less the same time - somebody will likely have to wait quite a while.

The agent did a good job, the problem was i had to wait a long time to be taken.
The agent did a good enough job but could have been quicker - again teh main problem was I had to wait quite a while before I was dealt with.

First time hiring an automatic here and that certainly worked well. Would have preferred an SUV type but wasn't prepared to pay the extra money for that. The Clio did a good job.
